U.N. World Refugee Day
Photo Exhibition by Angelina Devine
Presentation

On the occasion of the U.N. World Refugee Day on June 20, 2023, photographer Angelina Devine has decided to arrange a photo exhibition in which she wants to emphasize the strengths refugees all over the world are forced to find within themselves as their lives are being turned upside-down.
Just a few days after Russia began its aggression towards Ukraine, Angelina decided to visit the Polish-Ukrainian border. Not only did the trip provide her the opportunity of witnessing the thought-provoking events with her own eyes and to help those in need.

It also made her reflect on the overwhelming realities some people are dealing with when leaving everything behind and starting all over from scratch.
The exhibition will send an empowering message making aware of refugees as a whole by including a diverse group of people with different nationalities and racial backgrounds.

The event is going to take place at Lokalristeriet in the city of Odense and will consist of at least 12 portraits. But to ensure as diverse an exhibition as possible, our wish is to be able to produce a total of 52 portraits at a cost of €450 per piece. The exhibition also seeks to meet sustainable goals by making use of bamboo paper as well as recycled frames.

We are therefore currently seeking external partnerships and contributors to help the project reach its full potential. All of our partners will of course be mentioned in our ongoing promotion of the exhibition through social media.
In case you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out.

Angelina would also be delighted if she could be invited to do talks, interviews, blogs, etc. to talk more about the project in person.
